Dabek got on the bill to play at this, the first big outdoor rock festival, held out near Monroe, Washington. The weather didn’t cooperate but it didn’t daunt the spirits of all who were there. They danced in the mud (it was covered in Time magazine), sang along with the bands, and got very high on the surroundings and happenings (as well as other things). Dabek played two sets and received a wonderful response from the crowd. All who attended this landmark event would remember it forever.
